CASCADE WonderGlass

Can a material in motion hold a moment still?
Glass is a living material. Molten, it pools and flows, following gravity, following heat. CASCADE is a single pour, caught the instant it folds. Seconds before, it was still moving. The fall is still in it.
Not to stop time, but to hold one moment of it, while the rest continues to flow.

CASCADE is the third state of water in the Moment Series, made with the same glass masters in Venice since 2013. FLOW[T] is a surface, MOMENTO a droplet, CASCADE a constant, living flow, FLUID light that settles and stays. One material, one question, still open. The full account of the series is on the FLOW[T] page.

All works are rooted in water and made by hand in Venice, a city where the changing presence of water is part of everyday life.
