TURN CRAFT is a special edition of TURN, built around that question.
The leather grip, hand-stitched from Tuscan Liscio, slowly conforms to the hand. It darkens and deepens with time, carrying the trace of its owner.
Two variants. The Stainless Black, finished with a steel dyeing process Ambientec had never used before. The Brass, with an oil finish that shifts in tone as it ages. Both are made to change, not despite use, but because of it.
These finishing techniques are kept alive by craftspeople in Japan for whom no successor has yet been found. They continue anyway, with care.

The dye bath, Tsubame-Sanjo. Stainless steel goes in silver and comes out black—not coated, dyed.
TURN CRAFT parts lowered into the bath by hand, one rack at a time. The young workshop that does this is one of very few that can.
After the bath: each disc rubbed back by hand until the black settles evenly.
Both finishes are kept alive by Japanese craftspeople for whom no successor has yet been found. They continue anyway, with care.
Two variants. The Stainless Black, finished
through a pioneering steel dyeing process, a first for Ambientec.
The Brass, treated with a special oil finish that shifts in tone as it ages.
Both are designed to change, not despite use, but because of it.
